Focus: Val Sainsbury

Val Sainsbury is the mother of a fellow Etsian, and indeed has her own shop on Etsy.  I felt I really must bring her to the atention of  my friends and followers, because this woman really needs more recognition than she has thus far received.

A very talented needle woman, Val makes amongst other things, beautifully crafted artist sketchbooks. As most of you know, I have a particular weakness for hand made sketch books, and these are without doubt too lovely for words, and at roughly $30 to $50 are incredible value given the amount of work and skill that has gone into their creation.  The covers are hand sewn and embroidered, and in truth, are works of art in their own right.

This sketchbook below is one I have added to my faves, and intend to buy at some point,  so I include it here with some trepidation, though I have no doubt if it is sold I can prevail upon her to make another, so don’t hold back.
