Sketchbook: Floral Density [Explored]

Tous les finis …

Floral Density

Edit:
I discovered over the weekend that this image had been featured by Flickr on the Explore page. This is quite a big deal. Flickr pick a small number of images over period of a day and rotate them, about five or so. I didn’t discover until too late that my sketchbook shot had been featured, so was not in time to cap the image. But, it generated a lot of activity for the image, to my blog etc. I did however find it amongst the images on the ‘interesting photos from the last 7 days‘ and ‘calendar‘ pages. So really feel quite honoured to be included amongst such fabulous images and to have been chosen.

I’m glad you put the pen there to give a sense of scale. Makes what you have done all the more extraordinary!

Oh thank you sweety. I used to do my sketchbook shots from above, very plain…and I decided as a ‘product’ shot so to speak, it looked more interesting.

Thanks for the finished product!! It’s so amazing! How long would you say it took you in total?

Hi there Suzanne. About three days here and there. I usually work on sketchbook stuff whilst I am doing other things, like painting or design on my pooter. So, when I want a rest or a change, I slide over my sketchbook and work in there instead.

Thanks for the lovely feedback, appreciated. :)

Nicely done! I never like the flow of micron pens so it’s all the more impressive.
