Illusio Art Shop + Folksy

Sadly, for the past two weeks my little girl has been quite ill, so there has been no new artwork. In fact, I have barely left the sick room. It’s been a long haul, but she appears to be turning the corner thankfully. I have been pretty much on the bed with her watching films etc, lots of Disney. But, it has given me ample time on her good days, to turn my attention to some long overdue chores, like redesigning my Art Shop using my current Autumn theme, listing on the newly designed Folksy platform and finishing my 2012 Wall Calendar.  I will be listing new things in my Art Shop in the current weeks including new postcards from MOO, and my Wall Calendar.

As for Folksy, well now.  I opened a shop on Folksy some years ago when it was first launched.  I made one or two sales, but didn’t really feel it suited me, so I closed it down, and that was three years ago.  However, Folksy have just undergone a major site redesign with a look that is less ironically ‘folksy and homely’ and a lot sexier and contemporary. It looks less like a site for the knitted doily makers and more like somewhere that contemporary artists and illustrators would be tempted to list. They are still working on lots of new features as we speak, including being able to purchase without registering on the site. They have also launched a design and craft magazine called ‘Frankly Folksy‘.  So, I have been tempted to reopen my SHOP there, and list some things…and we shall see, I remain hopeful.
