Sketchbook Work + WIP

February 6, 2013 by Lorrie

Some sketchbook drawings I completed last year and just remembered to blog. The bottom one is a WIP (which will be available as a print in my Society6 shop, and I think the top one I am going to scan and colour in Illustrator, and also release that as a print. Working on LOADS of new stuff at the moment, including ArtJunky.net, hence the lack of bloggage. Back soon with lots more news.. xx

Great drawings Lorrie, will be good to see that last one finished. What are your plans for it?

      Hi there Dan…

To be honest, I am not sure. I may scan it and release as a small print, as I think it’s too detailed to vectorise and colour digitally, so I just don’t know yet.

      Glad you like btw :)

Lorrie, how nice to see some of your recent sketchbook work, and I love the Moleskine stuff you have been posting on your facebook page. Can’t wait to see the new work too.

They are beautiful drawings, the two faces I like very much. I am interested to see the work I saw on instagram.

    Lovely work, as always!
It’ll be good to see how the top one looks like when coloured in Illustrator :)

      Hi there Stina…

That and another have been scanned and converted to vector using ‘live trace’. The other one is turning out well, not so sure about the top one there. I may use your preferred method and redraw with the pen tool and convert, will be asking you about that soon.
