About

My name is Lorrie, I live on the South Coast of the UK in a village just outside Chichester, West Sussex with my husband Luke, and daughter Orla. Having trained in the 80s in Art & Design in London, I have been working freelance for the past 25 years or so in London and on the South Coast. I also hold business qualifcations and have wide corporate and business experience.
My art is fairly vaired in style and influence, incorporating the themes of nature, and easily recognisable for my bold use of colour and form. I have many influences, from Pop Art to Impressionism and enjoy creating art in many different mediums. I specialise in drawing and illustration, using traditional and digital mediums. I also paint on canvas using acrylics. I create mixed media pieces incorporating embroidery, and am a keen photographer. The majority of my work is commision based for private collections. My portfolio features recent work.
I sell my work from my Art Shop, original art, paintings, illustrations, mixed media pieces, fine art prints, postcards, aceos, gocco prints, photographic prints and fibre art/textile art. I also offer a web design service to small to medium sized business enterprises. I am available for commissions and am currently planning a solo show later in the year.
I am the editor of the Chicheser hub of Creative Boom magazine and also part of the editorial team for UK Handmade, an online magazine featuring the UK based Artists, Designers and Artisan Crafts.
