Well, after my loudly trumpeted start to the ‘Journaling for a Cause project, sadly, I am going to have to bow out. Three days in and I am struggling. It’s not just trying to do the prompts, play with Orla, answer emails, work on new art, get to the post office etc. I [...] So, our project kicks off today, (see post) and here is our first prompt for the new ‘Journaling for a Cause’ class being run by the lovely Janel. The prompt was to commence with a “Welcome” page which was to include a little blurb with five adjectives explaining our lives right now. Ergo: [...] Timely Flower – Original Aceo illustration So, trying to break myself of my listing apathy, I have shot and listed some new work (an aceo and postcard illustration) , and some aceo prints. I have lots of new stuff, drawings, paintings etc, but as most of you know, photographing and or scanning is a tedious business. [...] I want to tell you about a new project I am participating in that starts on Monday 26th. It’s called ‘Journaling for a Cause‘ and is being run by the lovely Janel of ‘Runs with Scissors‘ as a ‘journal class, with new prompts, new challenges, giveaways, chats, and a fun community of online friends [...] My entry for Monday Mark Makers Flickr group. ‘Deep Summer is when laziness finds respectibility’ – Edward Keen July has always been one of my favourite months. It’s sort of the midway point of summer, when the weather finally settles down and decides what it wants to do with itself, so is usually hot, but isn’t quite [...] The Creators Project is a new network dedicated to the celebration of creativity and culture across media and it’s coming to London and bringing with it a celebratory assemblage of musicians, artists, designers, panelists, filmmakers, food, and drink. The festivities take place on July 17th and will include a dizzying array [...] I have found a new place, and I really like it. It’s not new or anything, in fact it’s been around for at least a couple of years. I have known about it and decided to finally open an account. And..I LOVE it! Though the work is juried, it has more of a community spirit [...] Hey there… Here is my Monday entry for Monday Mark Makers on Flickr. Melancholy – Monday Mark Makers Yesterday on my Facebook ‘Page I reached over 1000 followers. So, to celebrate, I am running a special ‘Facebook Giveaway’, and this is special. I will be offering a: 1. FREE ORIGINAL DRAWING (NOT a print), yet to be completed (it might be leaves, it might be swirls, it might be flowers, the winner can [...] I am a lazy artist, and have a backlog of new work which needs scanning. Some illustrations, aceo etc. So, I decided to tget on with it. However, I hate scanning and (and subsuquently cleaning for prints), but…forced myself to get on with it.
