Just a fly by post to show off the following. Three little finished canvases, freshly varnished (the tin foil was a tip from Jessica Doyle, and they don’t stick). These little paintings are to go on show at the Affordable Art Fair at the Joy Gallery in April with some other pieces, I am dropping them [...] Just finished a small painting as shown here. Very simple, just black acrylic paint on unpainted linen deep edged canvas, size 8×8. The design was formed free hand, in that I didn’t draw out the image first using pencil or source the design from preliminary sketches. I just started painting and let the image form itself. [...] Finished another painting today. One of my favourite themes and colour palettes. Tribal and ethnic inspired art and colour. Acrylic on 10×10 deep edges canvas. The pattern goes all round the sides. Terrible light at the moment, so have only taken a couple of shots of it on my drawing board. I will take better [...] Yep. Since I closed my Etsy shop, getting a lot more work done. Two finished paintings, about three nearly done and a plethora of drawings, aceo’s and sketchbook work. Despite the shocking light I managed to get some reasonably decent shots of two paintings. Scans of my finished drawings and aceos will have [...] You know, over the years I have lost count of the people who have said to me, when having told them I am an artist, or that I had studied art at University, how much they loved art at and painting at school.
